Valentine's Go Fish Math!

I created a fun, go fish math game with a Valentine's Day theme for my second graders.  They will love playing this for math the week of Valentine's Day!  Our school uses Investigations by Pearson and being fluent with addition combinations is an important part of developing number sense.  This game provides kids with a fun way to get extra practice with those basic combinations.

There are 3 ways to play: Make 10 combinations, Doubles combinations, and Near Doubles (doubles plus/minus 1) combinations.

Everything needed to play is included:

  • playing cards with cute heart graphics for counting
  • recording sheet
  • tens frames with heart counters
  • directions for each version
Click on any of the pictures below to visit my Teachers Notebook Store to download this great math game!

I hope you and your students enjoy this Valentine's math game!

Happy Friday!
